Welcome to the Society of Indiana Archivists!
Who We Are and What We Do
The Society of Indiana Archivists (SIA) is an organization of archivists, researchers, and others who are actively concerned with establishing, developing, preserving, promoting, and using archival collections.
SIA provides a forum for the exchange of information and ideas related to archival collections and best practices, and it serves as a liaison among individuals and institutions working with archival collections in the state.
SIA 2020 Virtual Business Meeting
The SIA Board will host the 2020 Society of Indiana Archivists Annual Business Meeting virtually on April 17 at 10:00 a.m. (EDT, UTC/GMT -4 hours) via Zoom.
Members will receive the Zoom meeting link and a ballot link via email. The 2020-2022 SIA Board candidate slate is featured on page 14 of our Spring/Summer 2020 newsletter.
Non-members are welcome to join our meeting but do not have voting privileges. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to receive the Zoom meeting invitation.
Cancelled: SIA 2020 Annual Meeting
The SIA Board decided to cancel the 2020 Society of Indiana Archivists Annual Meeting and Pre-Conference Workshop.
Many factors went into this decision, including our workshop presenter’s inability to travel, restrictions from UIndy and many other academic institutions, and overall, our concern for the health and safety of our membership and our larger community.
A member’s meeting will be held remotely on April 17, when we will vote for the upcoming 2020-2021 SIA Board. Stay tuned for more details. Please contact email@example.com with questions.
