SIA hopes that the 2023 theme Communities Building Archives brings together emerging and established professionals to share experiences and outcomes of building collections and networks with and within local communities, institutions, and the profession. While our titles may vary–from archivist to historian, librarian, museum curator, cultural heritage specialist, professor, or student–we can help each other grow as professionals and build and preserve our respective collections for future researchers, communities, and archivists by sharing the lessons that we’ve learned and the practices and procedures that we’ve developed.
