In 2022, the Society of Indiana Archivists celebrates its 50th anniversary! In commemoration of this milestone, this year’s conference will focus on how SIA and the profession have and continue to evolve to provide and build networks of support for our communities and each other. You are invited to collaborate and share your knowledge and experiences with your colleagues.  We are looking for individual speakers, co-presenters, panels, and lightning rounds. Speakers do not need to be SIA members. Students and new professionals are encouraged to submit a proposal. Sessions last approximately 50 minutes with at least 10 minutes for open discussion. Topics for proposals include but are not limited to:

  • Community engagement and outreach
  • Creating community connections
  • Building a small shop: Making do with limited resources
  • Preparing for anniversaries and other celebrations
  • Resource sharing and support networks

Proposals should be sent to Richard  Bernier, SIA Vice President, at bernier[at]purdue[dot]edu. Please include a session title, brief description of the session (250 words or less), and name and contact information for all speakers.
